I understand that if you are married then your spouse must also co-sign the agreement, but what if you have a prenup? Does this affect your ability to get approved for the bond?
Having a prenuptial agreement in place will not affect your chances of being denied or approved for a bond.Originally Posted by grasshopper

If you do have a prenup; however, your spouse will not have to sign the indemnity agreement.
Is it looked more favorably though if you are married without a prenup, so that they have twice as many people to hold liable?
Not necessarily. The only reason Surety requires spousal indemnity is to keep the Principal from transferring assets to a spouse to avoid having to pay Surety back in the event of a claim.Originally Posted by grasshopper
