Default General Indemnity Agreement

Both my husband and I need to sign the required General Indemnity Agreement. My husband is out of the country, and he will be for the next month. What can we do?

Unfortunately, your husband does have to sign the agreement prior to issuance of your bond. If he has access to e-mail, maybe you could send him the agreement for him to sign, return to you and then you sign. Do you think that will work?

Would my spouse have to sign an indemnity agreement if we have a prenup?

Probably not. Best to check with your representative to have them check with the specific surety to see what there procedure is for prenups. My understanding is that spousal indemnity can be waived in the event of a prenuptual agreement. You would undoubtedly be required to provide a copy of the agreement.
