I have a question about Arizona's bond requirements for contracted fundraisers and telephone solicitors. Under § 44-6554 (b), a contracted fundraiser must file a $25,000 bond with the state and with a Contracted Fundraiser Registration Form; the bond can be in the form of a rider to a larger blanket liability bond. Under §44-1274, a telephone solicitor must file with the state and maintain a $100,000 bond, a copy of which must also be filed with a Telephone Solicitation Registration Application; in lieu of the bond, the solicitor can deposit a cash deposit for the same amount.
My question is, if a contracted fundraiser and telephone solicitor are two affiliated entities that operate under one parent organization, can the parent organization maintain one umbrella bond, filed with the state, for $100,000, which covers the two affiliates?
I would try contacting the Arizona Secretary of State, Contracted Fundraisers Division.
