Default bonding for streets ets.

We are presently planning on building two homes within a subdividsion. The subdivision owns the streets, bridge, and water lines. They are asking us to put up a $1,000,000 bond to cover possible damage. They have weight restrictions of nothing greater that 24,000 pounds on their streets, and bridge. All subcontractors carry the own liability of $2,000,000 which would cover any damage to the bridge, streets and water lines. To bring concrete in we must pump it over the bridge to a smaller concrete truck or in concrete buckets. This again is covered by the concrete company liability policy. So, as you can see. We are fully covered by each individual general liability policy. And we will not exceed weight limitations except for the concrete delivery. Can I get a bond for this amount, knowing that the primary insured is each subcontractor that has signed to abide by the weight limitation set forth and carries their own insurance?

The surety will not underwrite that in depth. Your bond qualification will depend mainly on the finances for the project.
