Why do some bonds have continuation certificates issued and some dont?

| Continuation Certification Quote:
It really depends on the bond language. Some language states that bonds are continuous until canceled, so that particular bond would not need a continuation certificate. Some bond language states that the bond must expire on a specific date or that a continuation certificate must be issued every year. |
