Actually, there are MANY sureties licensed in all 50 states - Safeco, Travelers, Hartford, Liberty Mutual, American Home, Chubb, Hanover, Federal, Zurich, Fidelity and Deposit, to name a handful.

It's also possible that a bond company who isn't licensed in a particular state is doing business there under a different name.
