Need Grading & Erosion Surety Bond in AA Co. MD

We are building a home in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Before grading permit is issued, we personally need to provide a Grading & Erosion Surety Bond as guarantee that we will perform the necessary grading, etc. stated on the county's grading permit requirements.

Need help finding agencies in our area that provides this service to individuals. All we've seen is for contractors/companies.

You are going to have difficulties finding an ageny to write the bond if it is too small. Small bonds can end up costing an agency money due to the time put in with small commission earned. What is the amount of the bond you require?

If it is small you may want to consider other guarantees, check to see if they will accept a letter of credit.

Yes, that is a rather small bond size for this type of bond. Our agency would not touch it as we would lose money doing so.
