Default Agents Share of Bond Premium

What percentage of the bond premium does the surety pay the agent on a payment and performance bond.

That depends on the volume produced by the agency and what the surety is offering.


In my experience I have seen as little as 15% offered by some niche markets, but 30% is pretty standard...higher if you produce enough.
