I am looking at doing some publishing work for a national magazine. They require a perfomance bond be issued. I have read what a performance bond and I understand the cost is based on the percentage of the dollar amount for the job. What I want to know is...I have a Chapter 13 that was discharged in 2005 and because of my current work situation, I have fallen behind in my house payments...and my credit score is low. Is it possible to get a performance bond? I really need this job.

Unforunately, we will not be able to help you with this bond. We do not have a program for any type of high-risk contract bonds, only commercial bonds. There are companies out there who may be able to help, but there is a good chance that collateral will be involved if your personal credit is poor.
