Is a bond possible?

I have a piece of property and in order to get utilities to the property we have to disturb a state road. The state wants a performance bond. They indicated that the bond must be in the homeowners name which is me. Is is possible for an individual to get a performance bond?

This sounds like it might be a road opening bond - unfortunately we do not have a market for such a bond. You might want to check with the utility company or the state to give you names of companies who have written these bonds in the past. Sorry we can't help you!
