Default Bond for hosting data?

We are submitting a proposal to host patient data on our server. The server is secure and have automatic fail-over in the event one should go down. Is there any surety bond we can also look into?

Linda, I think you may be confused as what a surety bond is and how they work. Please see our Surety Bond Information Section as it should help you to understand more about surety.

Also, when it comes to suretyship, underwriters tend to be very cautious when it comes to any software performance guarantees. To date the only bonds I have seen approved for software is to guarantee a service contract on the installation of software, never the programming of it.

Linda,

Please take a look at my recent post about surety bonds for Internet and software companies. I'd love to hear what you think about the problem.
