Default what type of bond do I need?

I'm trying to start my own security guard company, and I was told that I needed to be bonded, but I'm not sure as to what type of bond I need. Can anyone help me out?

We get questions like this rather often. The question I must ask you is, do you NEED a bond or do you WANT it? In other words, is anything requiring it of you? If not, you are not in need of a surety bond, but a Fidelity Bond, which is an employee theft insurance policy. It pays out if an employee is convicted of stealing.
