    Ever Bond a Wedding Planner?

I have a client that has asked me if I am bonded. I am a wedding planner and the client would be paying me $22,000.00 to plan their dream wedding. I explained to them I have liability insurance for my business but they wanted me to be bonded. I have no idea what they are really asking. I guess they don't want me to run away with their money. Any ideas or guidance would be appreciated.

If they are looking for a bond as a performance guarantee, then no - there would be no bond for this. The purpose of a contract bond is to protect public money - as in taxpayers that are part of a municipality that you may be doing work for. You need to sell your potential client on your insurance coverage and a good contract as they can not require a bond of you.
