    How does claim get filed?

    How does a claim get initiated? Can any consumer just file a complaint and next thing you know there's a claim against your bond?

    A consumer can file a claim against a bond. However, just because they make a claim, doesn't mean that it will be paid out. The Surety should investigate to make sure it's a valid claim.
