Default Auto Salesperson Bond

The dealership I work at has an Auto Dealer Bond with your company. Now, I need to obtain an Auto Salesperson Bond under my name. Would I need to provide my own personal financial information? Or would this fall under the company's info?

Yes, you will need to provide your own personal financial information. Also, you will let to let us know if the bond needs to be under your individual name. Your personal credit will definitely come into play (any owner with more than 5% ownership does).

Hope this helps!

I've never heard that an individual salesperson is required to have a bond. Generally, all salespeople are covered under the dealership's bond. I would double check with the state to make sure that you need an individual bond.

In Colorado, they require a $15K Motor Vehicle Salesperson Bond.

Well there you go! It's unusual though.
