I'm in the process of applying for my dealer license. Should I start by getting the bond first? Or do I need to have my license before applying for the bond?

I believe you need the bond in place in order to apply for your license. Best to check with your state to see exactly what their requirements are. Please remember that if you get the bond first - and are turned down for your license - there will be no refund on your bond premium. Just something to keep in mind as you begin the licensing process.
