    Starting New Dealership

I plan on starting a car dealership later in the year. In the meantime, I want to get everything in order so I'm ready when the time comes. One of things the state requires is a surety bond. How long does this process generally take? I want to be sure I give it enough time, so I'm not rushing around at the last minute.

The process does not take long. However, giving your agent more time never hurts, as sometimes certain markets will be slow to respond due to high volume. Since you have the time, you should be sure to give your agent every oppurtunity to get you the lowest rate. Three full weeks is more than enough time.
