Unfortunately, we can not handle any mortgage broker bonds outside of the country. I would consider doing an internet search for a surety company who can handle a mortgage broker bond in that area.

I was wondering about this because Puerto Rico is a commenwealth of the United States. The citizens have social security cards and are privy to the rights of the United States Citizens. I have been told that in order to get a bond I need a social security number and be a resident of the United States.

I have a friend who is a citizen of Puerto Rico but has redied in the US for 22 years. He has a Mortgage broker Bond through a Surety Company in the US. How is this possible?
