Default TX Mortgage Broker Bond

The state has recently informed me that I have to change the name on my bond from my individual name to my company name. Is this something you can handle?

We can definitely help you with changing your bond. We would need a simple request to your agent in writing that would include all your account information and the company name you need the bond changed to. This is called a name change rider and can be done within 1-3 days.

Bond Guy,

Will I have to sign a new indemnity agreement? Or cancel the bond that I already have placed with you since the company name is changing from an individual to a company?

Default New Indemnity

Dear Bond Magician, you may need to sign a new indemnity agreement - depending on what is on your original indemnity. Some of the Texas Mortgage Broker Bonds that have been issued - have included the name of the company on their indemnity agreements and simply issuing the bond in the individuals name - which would only require a rider. Check with your surety company for further clarification.
