    North Carolina Mortgage Broker Bond

    Hello,
I recently found out that since I do not have a physical location in the state of North Carolina, I do not need the bond. Can I get a refund?

Hard question to answer without the specifics. Generally, I can tell you this. During the first year of a bond - most of the time - premium is not refunded (it's fully earned). However, there are some exceptions to this. Some surety companies will allow a partial refund if the original bond can be returned with no indication that it was ever turned into the State. Your best option here would be to speak with your bond representative about your specific situation to see what your options are.
