The bond will not effect your credit score. However, credit reports pulled by agencies and bonding companies may hurt your credit.

Before applying with an agency find out who will be pulling your credit and if it will count as an inquiry. Having credit pulled numerous times in a short time period is a red flag and will most certainly lower your score.

Our Mortgage Broker Bond Program allows us to use soft credit reports, which do not count as an inquiry and in turn do not lower your credit.

So the answer to your question is that the application process may or may not effect credit depending on where you apply. Let me know if you have any further questions.
