Does each state have a different bond amount requirement for a money transmitter bond?

It will vary from state to state. There are quite a few that have no specified dollar amounts, but New York for example has a pre-determined amount of $500k.

What does it mean that some states do not have a determined bond amount? Could an applicant obtain a bond for any bond amount?
