Default Collateral return

I'm pretty sure I should be receiving my collateral back soon. How is it returned?

Generally Surety returns collateral by some method that they can track it - UPS I think is the preferred method.

To determine when you should be getting your collateral back, refer to the agreement that you signed when your bond was issued. It probably has a clause that indicates that your collateral will be held for a minimum of 365 days AFTER the bond liability has ended. Some agreements are for a shorter period of time... some are for longer. If it gets to the time that you think you should be seeing it, check with your bond specialist to see what the status is.
