Default Personal care attendant

Hello,

Am providing custodial non-medical unskilled assistance with activities of daily living (eating assistance, dressing, bathing) for a spouse in California. My spouses long term care plan will reimbursement for some of my time if I comply with the long term care plan paragraph shown below. The long term care company has agreed I'm eligible as other person qualified by experience.

"Personal Care Services may be provided by a nurse aide, a home health aide or other person or entity qualified by training and/or experience to provide care, and who is bonded or holds appropriate liability."

I was wondering what type of bond is being sought?

Thank you

It sounds like you need either a Business Services Bond or an Employee Dishonesty Bond. This would normally be intended to cover a company that sends some workers to care for the spouse. Some Sureties will issue this type of bond, and some won't. If you would like, you can complete an Employee Dishonesty Bond application (you can find it on our website) and fax the completed application to our office.
Thanks!
