I don't believe a co-signer can be removed from a bond. If your credit qualifies you for a standard market bond, your existing bond (with the co-signer) could be cancelled and replaced with a new bond. The co-signer is tied to the original bond by way of the indemnity agreement. That being said, surety companies handle these situations differently so it's best to check with your surety specialist to see what your particular situation warrants.
