Default Texas Sales Tax Bond

If I obtain a Sales Tax Bond for Texas (which has the state required expiration of 12/31) in the month of July and am required to have the bond for 2 years - which would bring me to July of 2010 - can I get a prorated term so that my bond cancels in July of 2010 in lieu of calander year of 2010 as the stated requirement on the bond?

Unfortunately, no. The bond must comply with the terms that the state is requing. The bond will be rejected of they will want you to extend th term of the bond to be compliant with their requirements of a 12/31 end date.
