I have had a bond with a surety company for the past 2 years and now it appears that my suerty is no longer writing this bond and I can't find a company that will write this bond. Do you have any suggestions on how I can place this bond or if there is a reasonable substitute?

I am not sure if it is something we could write. We would need to see a copy of the bond form and find out exactly what the bond sates they want guarenteed. I suggest you contact our office and have us take a look at the bond.

Who is requiring the bond? Is the State requiring it? What would the bond guarantee?

Thank you for your response Wizard. Unfortunately I have received an approval but it is dramatically higher AND collateral is requested as well. Apparently most sureties are not writing this bond anymore. I don't understand why I should be penalized and be forced to pay astronical amount this just to continue operation of my business.
