Default Home Improvement

We are in the process of getting some improvements to our home approved by the township. And one of the requirements is to get a bond. I think they said its to ensure that we make certain upgrades to public property affected by these improvements. Is this considered a permit bond and would I apply under "License & Permit Bonds"? Or is there another name for this type of bond?

If the local municipality is requiring the bond of you, it would not be under "License & Permit". It would be under "Site Improvement" which is also sometimes referred to as Subdivision. While you are not doing a Subdivision, you are improving your site and the municipality wants to make sure that if you leave the road dug up that someone will make sure it gets fixed. That's what the bond is for.
