Default Specialty Contractor License Bond

(1)I need a $10,000.00 bond for the SC Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation for a Residential Specialty Contractor license--what kind of bond do I need? (2)Will a financial statement be required for the type of bond I need? (3)I have a felony charge on my criminal record--will this prevent me from getting a bond?

It sounds like you need a Contractor License Bond. A personal financial statement will probably be required by any owner with more than 5% ownership of the company.
The fact that you have a felony charge on your criminal record will not interfere with you being able to obtain a bond, as we do not do criminal backgorund checks, only credit reports.

Bond Magician is correct - this is a Contractor License Bond. It's a special program that South Carolina has - the bond amount is determined by what type of contractor you are.
