    Consent of Surety

I have a Distilled Spirits Bond for the state of Ohio and the Federal Government has stepped in and asked that the surety complete a Consent of Surety that includes specific verbiage that they are requiring in conjunction with my bond. Will the surety provide?

Not being familiar with this particular Consent of Surety, if it relates to a change to your bond, I expect that Surety would provide. They would need to know exactly what changes are needed and who is requiring the changes.

    Consent of Surety

I was able to contact my surety and the verbiage the Government was requesting for the consent of surety was basically saying that distilled spirits would be moved from one area of the plant to another. The surety approved and has completed the Consent of Surety for my bond. Thanks!

Thank you for the reply - having never heard of this type of Consent, it's good information for us to have. Did your Surety require any additional premium to issue this Consent?

The surety was very helpful and did not require any additional premium.
