    Filed Electronically

Why is the BMC-84 ICC Bond filed electronically? Why can't I get a hard copy of the bond?

  2. hard copy

The BMC-84 Broker Bond does have a form issued by the FMCSA, but it is hardly ever used. In todays world most things are done electronically, likewise the broker bond. Sureties and insurance companies file ypur bond electronically with the FMCSA, it is then posted on the Licensing & Insurance website of the FMCSA. If it is posted, no need for a hard copy.

The BMC-85 Broker Trust Fund also has a form issued by the FMCSA, my company will have you sign it and we will sign it. You are then sent an original for safe keeping. IMPORTANT!!!! This document really is only worth the price of the paper its printed on. Just because it is in effect the day it was signed, does not mean it is still in effect a week later. The L&I website is gospel when checking on coverage. If you have a BMC-85, DO NOT fax out to anyone!!!!
This doc has personal info onit that is your business ONLY!!!!!
