Why such a high risk?

Hello, I am in need of an ICC Bond. I have been doing some research and everyone has been saying that it is incredibly hard to obtain this type of bond, and that there are a lot of claims placed on this bond. I have excellent credit and great financials. Why will it be hard for someone like me to obtain this bond?

It is difficult for anyone to obtain this bond, if their agent does not have the proper markets to place it. You are correct, there are a large amount of claims for ICC Bonds, which is why bonding companies are hesitant to write them with good terms. Most bonding companies are willing to write them, but will require 100% collateral, which is a bad idea, as you might as well post it directly to the ICC then.
