Default fidelity bond for felon

I am a convicted federal felon, currently serving a three-year term of supervised release, one year of which I have completed. I cooperate very closely with my US Probation Officer. I understand that I may qualify for the Federal Bonding Program, but I would like to start my own LLC, as sole proprietor, and possibly as sole employee, if I can get bonded and insured. The charge under which I was convicted does not pertain to theft, fraud, or anything else of relevance to potential clients. How can I find someone to provide me with a fidelity bond?

John, a fidelity bond is simply insurance to protect from employee theft...it doesn't seem like it would apply to what you are looking for.

May I suggest you read the following: Surety Bond Blog » Blog Archive » Getting Your New Business Bonded
