Classification Type A vs. Type B

What is the difference between Classification A and Classification Type B on your Employee Dishonesty Bond application? I really would like to be classified under Type A.

Class A = Professional and bu siness offices such as accountants, architects, physicians, dentists, insurance agents and attorneys. Note that officers are no covered under this bond, unless you are a corporation, and the officers are in the regular service of the company and compensated by salary, wages, etc.)

Class B = Businesses with more exposure such as cafes, gas stations, retail stores, businesses with salespeople, non-profit social organizations and courier services.

    Where do you fall?

I am a house watcher - I watch clients homes while they are away. I would like to fall under Classification Type A though. Why must I be in Type B?

Because you don't fall under any of the professional classifications found under Type A. Your situation creates more exposure so consequently it's under the Type B.
    Sorry...

What about visiting nurses... Would they fall under type A or B?
