My state does not require me to get a bond in order to be licensed, but I wanted to find out if there is some sort of Fidelity Bond available for contractors? I would like to help the homeowners feel more at ease by being "Bonded".
I suppose it's possible to get an employee dishonesty bond that would cover theft by one of your employee's of property belonging to a homeowner. Remember though, that there will be a conviction clause within the language that means the employee not only has to be charged but actually convicted of the crime prior to the bond paying out. I think what might make the homeowners feel more at ease is if you have sufficient insurance.Originally Posted by Mother Bond
