The Employee Dishonesty Bond protects the Employer (Company) from theft by it's employees.

As far as independent contractors go, they are NOT covered under this type of bond. An employee must receive compensation direclty from the insured by salary/wages to have coverage under this type of bond. So, if the independent contractors are not paid by the insured but by the individuals they work for, there is no coverage.
