With the current condition of the housing market being in a steady decline and the economy heading further into a recession, will the bonding companies become even more conservative in the guidlines for contract bonding? I know that less then a really strong credit history will deny consideration for bonding, but will people with a moderate to moderately-high credit strength get bumped out now?

I am a contractor that has been biding on local Municipality jobs all year only to out bid by the slightest amount again and again. While obtaining the bid results from the last bid I was told that a few of the other contractors I had been out bid by had various discrepancies with thier bonds and at these moments I was eligible to be awarded the job because I was the next closest bider. How do I find out about other contractor's bonds should this happen again?

I am a contractor interested in finally doing govenment jobs, while talking to another contractor about getting bonded he informed me that certain background checks are required for approval. My credit score is strong and I own my property but I was in jail about eight years ago. Will this prevent me from getting a Bid Bond?

I admit that I have a history of being late on payments which has lowered my credit score. I have heard that this will cause a higher premium on any bonds that I need but I keep getting denied for even getting any contract bonds. I am willing to pay more money, so why won't anyone offer my a bond?

There is a large bid coming up in Queens NY that I would really like to obtain for my company. This is the first time that I have ever had to be bonded for a job. I keep calling companies all across the country to write this bond for me but as soon as I mention New York they turn me down. Can you help?

I am a former client with your company and have multiple commercial bonds with you already. Recently I started up a construction company looking to bid on government jobs. Where do I look to apply on your web site and will it recognize me as a current client?
