| I am looking for information on a very large appeal bond. A local county government lost a civil rights case and is appealing. The damages are $8,500,000-- The county has insurance for $6,000,000 and is obligated for the additional $2,500,000. What are the bond rates for something like this. They have the collateral to back up this limits. |

That's good about the collateral as it will undoubtedly be required for any kind of appeal bond. As far as premium is concerned, I suggest you call our office to speak with the bond specialist who handles the court bonds. He will be much better suited to give you an idea about the premium. |
