Default Guardianship Bonds for my kids

I need to provide bonds for $12,500/ each for my two kids for the amount each would get as a result of lawsuit settlement. I applied for Guardian/Conservatorship for them. Kids are 14 and 16 years old and going to school. The Judge indicated that he would consider for Restricted Account after one year. So probably, the bond coverage would be for two years for my daughter and 4 years for my son. When the Judge grants restricted access after one year, how will the refund of the unused time be handled. Can you please respond with the quote and refund amount and procedure in this case?

Unfortunatley, we can't give you a quote without an application - which can be accessed by following this link: JW Surety Bonds - Court Bond Applications

It really depends upon which surety the bond is written with as to whether they would offer a refund. If the bond can be decreased after the first year, it's very likely that a refund for unearned premium could be returned but there are too many variables to guarantee that to you at this point. That would be a good question for your bond agent after you have submitted an application.
