Why is past due child support such an issue? What does that have to do with getting approved for a surety bond?

Past due child support is one of those issues that no one wants to see. Past due on credit cards is one thing - past due on supporting your children is something else altogether. If a person with past due child support can show proof that they are making payments and that the State is ok with the schedule, Surety may approve the bond - but definitely on a high risk program.
