can an owner of a paint company be a "contractor" and a sub-contractor? Bonding the same

I wouldn't think a company could be both the contractor and the sub-contractor. I am reasonably sure that regardless, the same company wouldn't be able to get two bonds for the same job. I hope that answers your question.
