Frustrated

I am an electrician here in Pennsylvania and have never needed a bond in all the twenty years in have been in buisness. Recently I was offered work in both New York and New Jersey. Before I can do any of the work I need bonds in both states. I don't want to pay for the same service twice, is there an other bond that can take care of both of the states requirements?

Unfortunately, there is not a bond that can cover both states. If both NY and NJ are requiring you to obtain a contractor bond to obtain your license and do work in both states, you will need to abide by the requirements in order to operate as a legal business. Our agency issues bonds based on which state is requiring the bond. Also, each state requires a different bond amount for each different type of bond.
