Default subcontractor not getting paid for work

I am a subcontractor hired to pave for th GC. It was a Massachusetts State job, so the GC had to be bonded. My job has been done for 45 days and the GC is not paying us and say he does not have the money. We have contacted the State engineer and the coordinator of the job and have found out that he has gotten paid for the work that my company has done and is still owed his last payment. What do I need to do to make sure that I get paid?

Westcage - sorry for the delay in responding to your question. Hopefully by now you have been in touch with the Surety company who wrote the GC's bond. You would need to submit a claim to them so you get paid. I would absolutely do this sooner rather than later - it's what the bond is for.

Good luck!
