Why is it that I can't obtain a bond if I owe back child support? What does that have to do with a bond?

Well, if you are late on your credit card payments you can't be arrested. However, if you are late with your child support payments, you CAN be arrested and thrown in jail. It would be difficult to run your business from behind bars - consequently making you not a good risk for Surety.
