Default Bad Credit

If I have bad credit and I need a bond. Does it make sense to have a co-signer for the bond who has good credit?

In some cases yes. The thing you have to remember is that a co-signer PERSONALLY indemnifies to the Surety Company on your behalf. Most people are not willing to do that. It's really best to see if the bond can be written without a co-signer. Be in touch with your bond representative to see what your specific options are.
