Is an ARC bond file electronically directly with ARC?

I believe that there is an actual bond issued and signed by an attorney-in-fact for an ARC bond; however, a freight broker bond IS filed electronically.

Is the bond sent to me so I can submit it with my other paperwork or does the bond agency send it directly to ARC?

I do believe that ARC bonds are sent directly to ARC because they do not need to be signed on behalf of the company.

I would double-check with ARC to find out what specific bond amount is being required of you.

Can I apply for the bond before knowing the actual amount of the bond?

You need to know the amount of the bond prior to applying. Our website will ask for the bond amount since we calculate the premium based on a percentage of the required bond amount.

Airlines Reporting Corporation can tell you the amount of bond coverage that you need. The minimum is $10,000 so if you want to apply for that amount to be sure you qualify you are welcome to. This bond can not be applied for on our website as there is a special application required. Call our office and speak to the specialist who handles the ARC bonds and I know she will be happy to help you out.

Also, the original bond can go to either ARC directly or to you. It does not need to be signed by you but if you want to include it in your package of information sent to ARC then it can be sent to you. It's your call.

This bond is definitely not filed electronically - ARC does require a physical bond.

What happens if I chose to have the bond sent directly to the ARC, but it gets there before they've received my application? What will they do with my bond in the meantime... couldn't they lose it?
