    Arc Bonds

    I Am A Travel Agent, Looking For An Arc Bond Quote. I Have Been In Business For 24 Years And Have Excellent Credit. My Renewall Notice Premuim Amount Went Up 110 % Compared With Last's Year Premium. I Never Made Any Claims, Never Defaulted In Anyway.
    What Kind Of Premium Can I Get Or What Are My Options ?

    ARC Bonds are becoming harder and harder to place with each passing year. This particular class of business has a high claim rate. Sureties are raising premiums and requiring collateral to help cover the risk involved.

    Currently, almost all sureties are requiring collateral for ARC Bonds. Our agency has one surety that will write the bond with no collateral. The forum rules restrict any discussion of rates.

    From what you tell me, your company is exactly what the bonding companies are looking to write.

    What bonding company is currently writing your ARC Bond? Are they requiring collateral?
