This IS a big mess! This is exactly what I was referring to in the previous post about the dealing with the public.

You were operating without household goods broker authority, your customer did not verify your legality, and now you have a crooked carrier taking advantage of the situation! The carrier is probably wanting more $ because they say you under estimated the cost, space,time etc!

You need to settle this with the carrier...fast.
I strongly recommend you get broker authority before you do any more moves.

The FMCSA is cracking down hard on these type of operations because like this case, John Q Public is getting taking advantage of.
